Associate Membership Contract

Associate Membership agreement between Waterbrook Potters Studio Inc., hereafter referred to as WPS, and the member, for use of facilities at the listed address.
Term: The Member agrees to membership for a term of one year and will provide payment based on Table 1. If a member does not wish to continue their membership, they agree to give WPS one week’s notice before the membership expires. Otherwise they will be regarded as renewing this membership automatically for the next billing period, as long as WPS agrees to extend the membership.
Membership: Associate Members are entitled to the following privileges:
12 Day Passes per calendar year
Bisque and glaze firing, at studio firing rate
Member rate for classes and workshops
Ability to teach classes and workshops
Opportunity to purchase materials at bulk pricing
Opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors
Opportunity to participate in WPS sponsored events
Voting privileges at annual WPS meetings
Payment: The Member will make yearly membership payments of $150.00 to WPS on the first of the year. Follow Table 1 for options of how the member can pay for membership, and the expectations of both the member and WPS. Payment must be paid to WPS by the 5th of the starting month the following year or a late fee of $15 will be charged to the member, in addition to their yearly dues. If the member becomes 2 months past due in membership payment, then their membership privilege(s) may be revoked. Memberships can begin at any time during the year and extend for 12 months after the start date.
Confidentiality: WPS and all board members acting for WPS will keep credit card information confidential and will be deleted when the membership has ended. If the member pays by recurring payment, it is the member’s responsibility to stop payments if they are no longer a member.
Membership Termination: A member may terminate their membership by giving a week’s notice to the board of WPS. Memberships are non-refundable, unless agreed upon by the board of WPS. The WPS board reserves the right to end the membership agreement as described in the WPS Bylaws.
The member is responsible for:
Following the safety procedures and studio rules which are posted at the studio
Attending a studio orientation
Seeking assistance before using unfamiliar equipment
Cleaning workspace, tools, and equipment after use
During scheduled class times, members will use designated space not in use by the class.
Using tables only for the clay bodies for which they are labeled
WPS will be accessible for associate member use during certain times. Associate members have 12 day passes per year to use the studio, except glazes, as they see fit. The associate member can coordinate with WPS, if needed.
Members acknowledge that WPS may use their image and pictures of their work on social media and other forms in order to promote the studio. Members may give notice to the WPS board if they do not want their images to be posted.
